Dell Inspiron 1501 AC Adapter

I've had it for a year and a half and suddenly it just stopped charging at all. I have to have it constantly plugged in and if the cord gets pulled out for a second it will shut down. Now it also just turns off sometimes and i know i haven't either pulled the cord out or accidentally shut it down. Does anyone know how to fix this?Dell laptop not charging, even though computer says its "plugged in". ? I have a dell laptop, inspiron 1545, when i plug in the charging cord, it will say "plugged in, not charging". Then i will unplug/re-plug the charger several times, maybe even wait a minute or so and it will finally say "plugged in, charging" i like to know whats going on.

I have the hp g60 laptop with windows 7 and i am having power problems? I'll have it plugged in on somewhere like a desk and it will do things like randomly disconnect itself so it looks like it's plugged in but it's running on battery. Often when i do plug it it the little Dell Inspiron 1501 AC Adapter symbol will say plugged in, not charging. I've taken it back to the store to have my connector fixed as it was broken, but it hasn't solved the problem.I have a dell laptop and it says plug in, not charging. How do i get it to charge? My laptop is already plugged in and it says " plugged in, not charging". How do i get it so it says " plugged in , charging". Answer:-

Verify the outlet that you are plugging into has current by plugging a fan, lamp, etc. There are some outlets in my guest house that have the bottom outlets working off a light switch.I was using my lap top, and it was running out of battrie so i charged it then later, the battery was low again, so i went back to my office to charge it then i notice it's not charging, i try everything, i try different outputs, the charger Dell Inspiron 1564 AC Adapter is not ripped or damaged, some how it just stopped charging, now my lap top ran out of battery, is my laptop broken, what should i do?
My question is, when using a laptop while it's charging, does the laptop run off the battery, which is constantly being recharged, or does the laptop run off the power from the power (ac?) Adapter and not use the battery until it is unplugged, does it then use power from the battery. ?Toshiba laptop battery not charging, but says its is and battery light is on? I have a toshiba satellite laptop a100 series. When plugged in with adaptor, laptop works fine. The battery light is on at the front (which i think means its charging it)

In the icons in the corner, when i hover over the battery indicator it says 1% available (plugged in, charging) but it never gets over 1%, and when i pull the charger out it instantly fails, so basically it's not charging at all, but its telling me it should be. Iv tried reinstalling the driver for the charger/Dell Inspiron 1545 AC Adapter, no change.got a bios thing off toshiba website, no change. Any suggestions on what's wrong and how to fix it?

Just been curious, i was thinking that if the first one is the case, that it would really wear out the battery and kill its life-span. I was thinking that i would just use the laptop with the battery disconnected and just powered through the adapter - which would be kind of risky i guess, if the plug were to disconnect. Anybody have knowledge on this subject?Toshiba battery charger not charging laptop? Ok this start started like 3 days ago but whenever i plug in the battery charger it doesn't charge at all. It is annoying me and i want to know if i need to go buy a new Dell Studio 1737 AC Adapter. Whenever i plug in my sisters charger it works fine. So whats the problem?
